Data Deletion Policy

This Data Deletion Policy describes how you can delete your account and data associated with PhotoShark on the Website and how Vista Studios Ltd handles deletion requests.

1) Self-service deletion

You can delete your Website account from your account dashboard: https://photoshark.io/my-account. Use the account deletion option in Account Details.

Deleting your Website account does not remove photos or videos already saved on your computer or external drives. Those files remain under your control on your devices.

2) Account deletion request

You can request account deletion by using the in-app delete function on the Website or by emailing [email protected] from the email associated with your account.

3) What gets deleted

  • Account/profile: Your account profile, authentication data, and account preferences are deleted from our systems.
  • Server uploads: Any files or data you uploaded to our servers in connection with the Service are deleted.
  • Server-side indexes and metadata: Any server-side indexes, metadata, or derived data associated with your account are deleted.
  • Usage/security logs: Usage and security logs associated with your account are deleted.

4) Timing

We aim to complete deletion within 60 days after verifying your request, unless a longer period is required for security, technical, or legal reasons.

5) Backups and residual data

Deleted data may persist in a secure backup location for a limited period. Backup retention is up to: 90 days.

6) What we may retain

We may retain limited information as required by law or for legitimate purposes such as fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and security investigations: We do not currently use third-party payment processors; limited records may be retained where required by law.

7) Payment records

We do not store payment card details on our servers. If we introduce paid offerings in the future, limited transaction records may be retained where required by law, tax, accounting, or fraud prevention rules.
